In the study of the rainfall from Suhard Mountain, we used data from meteorological stations and rainfall stations situated in the immediate vicinity, which ensured a relatively satisfactory interpretation of this parameter.\nThe altitude difference registered in Suhard, 1262m (between the 670m, at the confluence of Maria River with Someşul Mare and 1932m of Omu Peak), generates a remarkable spatial variation of rainfall. As a true reflection of the local geographical conditions, the rainfall quantities graphs don’t describe anymore a proportional linear increase with the altitude, but mildly resembling a parable.

The factors that explain changes in population size are a central theme in ecology, and long-term studies of population dynamics are of great interest for life history theory, population ecology, and wildlife management and conservation biology. Endangered Nilgiri tahr (Nilgiritragus hylocrius) is endemic to the Western Ghats Mountains. Studies on the population status of Nilgiri tahr at Mukurthi National Park, Nilgiris, Tamilnadu was conducted for the period 2008 in different seasons (February- March and June -July). The study indicates 424 Nilgiri tahr inhabitants in 17 locations. Males classify as Class I(6+ age,20),Class II( 5+years,18),Class III(2-4 years,39) Nilgiri tahr recorded. Class IV females (2+ years, 161), Class V (1-2 years, 50), Class VI (less than a year, 90) observed during the survey. The highest tahr density present in sector IV (29%), low in sector V (3%) and the enduring sector ranges as of (19 to 27%).the key thing in the present study exposed that 86(21%) Nilgiri tahr is in outside national park. As a result of habitat thrashing, poaching, predation and non accessibility of food, climate change and anthropogenic activities leads the population of tahr is declining.

Limiting heat losses during ventilation of indoor building spaces has become a basic aim for architects. Much experience has been gained in terms of ventilation of indoor spaces. Nevertheless, due to the complex applications, attempts to create a theoretical base for solving the problems related to the issue are limited, especially determining the minimum ventilation period required within a designated space. In this paper we have approached this matter, both theoretically and computationally. The conclusion we reached was that controlled ventilation of spaces through vent holes that successively open and close at regular time intervals can limit the excessive circulation of air masses, which in turn limits heat losses.\nAir change rates through open and tilted windows in rooms of residential buildings driven by atmospheric motions are investigated to evaluate natural ventilation concepts. Model of thermal building simulations is used. A separated sample storey and a sample single room in larger scales were used to measure air transport through window openings under the influence of the external pressure distribution.

Hypercholesterolemia (HC) was frequently associated with oxidative stress, and release of inflammatory cytokines. The primary objective of this study is to determine the hypolipidemic effects of sulphated polysaccharides from seaweed Ulva fasciata algal extracts through measuring the activities of some parameters related to liver and kidney functions in the serum of hypercholesterolemic as compared to normal rats. Different groups of rats were administered a high cholesterol diet. Liver and kidney functions, inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, CRP, MPO and IL-10), oxidative stress (GSH, MDA and NO), in addition to cell adhesion molecules (ICAM-1 and VCAM-1) were assessed before and after treatment with the algal polysaccharides. In addition, histological examination of liver and kidney were performed to confirm the biochemical findings. The obtained results showed that oxidative stress and inflammatory markers associated with hypercholesterolemia were significantly increased in HC-rats. The histopathological examination of liver and kidney demonstrated severe degeneration with diffuse vacuolar degeneration, necrosis and the presence of fatty droplets. In addition; nephron-histological examination revealed, mild glomerular injury with mild vascular and inflammatory changes. Treatment with the algal sulphated polysaccharides effectively improved these disorders and diminished the formation of fatty liver, as well as renal dysfunction more than the reference drug; fluvastatin. Thus it could be concluded that, the consumption of UFP (Ulva fasciata polysaccharides), may be associated with attenuation of inflammatory markers, amelioration of fatty liver and improvement of renal dysfunction, that in turn lead to counteract hypercholesterolemia and its related disorders; such as obesity, and heart disease.
